Dark Goddess
My heart did love once,
Long, long, ago.
Before the dark flames of hell
Burned away my soul.
And with each tongue of flame
That licked against my skin,
I felt mortality slip away,
Making me closer to my demon kin.
My imperfections burned away,
All that I held dear, gone astray.
A dark goddess I was made,
And my heart was the price I paid.
And what is by far the worst of all:
I made the choice of my own fall.
